Seventh and Last Day - Friday 3

We got breakfast and then headed to the awards ceremony, all together.

After a speech to inaugurate the ceremony began the process that we are so full of nerves.
The order of merit is:
-
Gold Medals Silver Medals
-
Bronze-Medal Honorable Mention
-
is, you may receive either of these, or none, according to their performance on tests. All speeches commented that the mere fact of being involved was enough merit and that it has achieved to get a mention should not be less than anyone else, accepted unanimanete question.

happiness I have to tell you that I received the bronze medal for the exams that I paid. Also proud to say that all members of the delegation of our beloved country received endorsements:
-Mark and Sebastian received Honorable Mentions
-Augusto and I received Bronze Medals
Here We are celebrating our achievements:

After this joyous celebration, the sad process began saying goodbye to everyone. It was really hard and we forge strong relationships and we promise to try to grow despite the distances. Here are some of the delegations with which we reach take a picture:
Along with the Delegation of Spain

Along with the Delegation of Uruguay

Along with the Delegation of Cuba

To conclude, I mean I spent one of the best experiences of my life here. Beyond the academic environment, this event meant (at least for me) a change in my perspective of seeing the world and people around me. I am extremely happy to have been able to get the bronze when I felt not amount to anything, but I have to admit that the joy that gives me is nothing compared to what gave me this trip, its people and their experiences. I want to thank you for joining me either through this blog or other means, but really, more than anything (and please do not be offended), my thanks go to the delegations of those 18 countries that shared this week with me making it an unforgettable experience .

Thus, while ending my participation in the XIII Iberoamerican Physics Olympiad in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico United States, I conclude my contribution to this blog I hope to have found enjoyable and perhaps useful.

Thank you all.

Sixth Day - Thursday, 2

After breakfast we went to the volcano Paricutín, we walked for a long time (some preferred to make the journey on horseback). That makes no volcano grew more than 70 years at the heart of a people that had to be abandoned. For the quality of the volcano the people had enough time to evacuate, all the houses were moved (made of wood). Only the church (again soup) could not be removed because its huge structure was not removable and fixed.

Here to Honduras, a great friend forever.

The following photo may seem quixotic, even a joke, but rather it is a tribute, the person in the photo is Alexander of Spain (another great friend of those who maintain hope despite the distance) that despite having an operation on the leg that forced him to walk with crutches made the same journey as all roads through endless unstable. Really an example of endurance. I think he has earned the horse back to the start, made more effort than anyone else:

We all ended the trip extremely verbose, returned to the hotel and went to prepare for the gala dinner that night would.

The Gala Dinner and enjoy traditional dances Michoacanos dishes, here are some photos of those things and the subsequent "little party" we had:

After that we returned to the hotel. The next day would be the awards ceremony and closing of the Olympics.

Fourth Day - Tuesday, 30

We got up as usual and went down to breakfast. The day we hoped was long since we had the trip which was to visit 3 different people, Quiroga, Tzin-Tzuntzan and Patzcuaro. The first stop was the town of Quiroga where we had the opportunity to travel and enter the great cathedral (remember, as I said before, until the smallest town has a huge cathedral). I have some photos to illustrate:

Ceci (MEX), Lucas (URU) and Alfredo (CUB)

Quiroga has the fruit and vegetables, this is one of

Then we went to town-Tzuntzan Tzin which means "city of the hummingbird and we went there we saw a big church (strange, no?) as we explained as were the rituals of the natives of the area and how they were changing as these were integrated into crisitanismo. Here are some pics:

How Long Do People With Thyroid Cancer Live

Third Day - Monday 29

After a breakfast full of nerves we took the test pilot for 5 hours and probably do not care or know what it was.
Hence, all exhausted and we went directly to a talk at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo, the talk was about questioning the validity of the General Theory of Relativity of Einstein, who apparently dictated it I was not convinced by what he says and predicts and devoted himself to attack from all sides (scientifically, of course). Then we took a tour of the facilities of the university and we some labs in optics and lasers, here are some photos for those who like:

After the event where people talked (I guess) was important enough to Morelia, we had a lunch typical Mexican food and then we went for a tour of the city into a car-train took us to a church (Mexico is full of them and they are all really impressive). Here is a picture of the ride and a church:

After this tour we returned to Morelia hotel for dinner and go to bed very early because the next day was the experimental exam.

First Day - Saturday 27

First of all, my apologies for the delay. But only today Friday at 5.30 AM get a computer.

This day was dedicated to the registration of delegations, but as we already had the previous day (we arrived a day earlier than stipulated in the program ), decided to take the day to go Morelia. Thus, we come to Morelia Zoo and decided to go. Zoo is a very comprehensive level of Buenos Aires Zoo Here is some pictures of the animals:

After returning from the Zoo, we are dedicated a time to "relax" in the hotel, and then down to dinner with the rest of the people who had already arrived.

After dinner we were all (or almost) to chat about any topic:

If you are interested, I'm the red shirt (no beanie). After that we went to bed once and for all.
