How Will Ringworm Look When Its Healing?

Altisidora Altisidorilla.

Altisidora is a character created by Cervantes puts to test the fidelity of Don Quixote to Dulcinea, going so gracefully from the temptations of the maiden that he loses his temper at being scorned and he reveals the reality of the joke. But, what is the history of this character? What could be the inspiration of Don Miguel for its creation?.

I found some tracks in an article entitled: "approach to the character Altisidora Cervantes enigma" of Gloria Bent, an associate professor of Humanistic Studies Department at the Inter-American University Puerto Rico.

Professor Bent one hand appreciated the duchess parallels with Dido, Queen of Carthage, who appears in Virgil's Aeneid and other displays possible matches Placerdemivida, Carmesina maiden princess, beloved of Tirant lo Blanc, Altisidora, although in this parody Altisidora would like a copy of Placerdemivida crude since the author writes the article: " Altisidora or do not find in the fine elegance and intelligence of the maiden sensual delights the reader Tirant lo Blanc . Far from it, as Altisidora nature is revealed to us become more evident its banality and simplicity. . "

In fact as I have not read the Tirant Lo Blanc de Joanot Martorell (this year marks the Comunitat Valenciana to 600 anniversary of his birth) I can not comment on the first sentence but the second is quite evident after reading the chapters Altisidora appears, a streetwise young man who plays the role of love for their masters delight of the dukes.
